Summerland is located towards the south end of beautiful Lake Okanagan in BC wine country. 

This is the best stretch of the Lake for sailing. The winds are more consistent, the water at the beaches is a little warmer, and access is very quick and easy.

#  The Lake is about 90 miles (150 Km) long and 2 miles (3 km) wide. 
#  Windless days are rare. 
#  Breezes of 5 to 15 knots are normal. 
#  Winds of 20 knots are not uncommon but 30 knots is rare. 
#  Summer water temperatures are around 76 F (25 C). Great swimming! 
#  Fall sailing is especially good with fair winds and warm temperatures 
#  Sailing can be especially exciting and challenging when the westerlies blow
